No ads. No accounts. Built for VoiceOver.

What it does

Independence, one tap at a time.

Stick an NFC tag on anything. Record what it is. Tap it later and hear it back — no opening apps, no fumbling through menus.

Label Anything

Spice jars, medication, files, clothing, appliances, look-alike remotes, a drawer of unlabeled cables — affix a low-cost NFC sticker and Talking Tags links it to a description in your library.

Hear It Instantly

Tap the tag with your iPhone and Talking Tags speaks the label aloud through VoiceOver — no app to open, no menus to hunt through.

Scan One After Another

Continuous Scan sweeps across a group of tags, reading each as you go, until you reach the one you want — perfect for a drawer of spices or a shelf of look-alike cans.

Organize With Categories

Group your tags into categories — Kitchen, Medications, Electronics, whatever fits — and filter your list by category to find things quickly.

Your Personal Library

Every tag lives in a searchable library you control — editable, shareable, and easy to back up. You can even find a tag by typing or dictating its own words into your device's system search.

Make It Yours

Go beyond a name: record the label in your own voice, and add your own details — brand, dosage, size, expiry — so a tag tells you exactly what you need to know.

Hands-Free with Siri

Ask Siri to scan a tag, read a label aloud, count your tags, or add a new one. Every voice action is also an Apple Shortcuts action, so you can build Talking Tags into your own routines.

iCloud Sync, No Servers

Built on Apple's CloudKit and SwiftData. Your library syncs privately across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac, staying in your iCloud account — never on our servers, never shared with third parties.

Designed for VoiceOver

Every screen, control, and gesture is built for screen readers first — with high-contrast visuals as a complement, not an afterthought. Just as handy for sighted users any time the details aren't printed on the object itself.

How it works

Three steps. That's it.

Stick A Tag

Apply an inexpensive NFC sticker to whatever you want to label — a medicine bottle, a thermostat, a folder of papers.

Record What It Is

In Talking Tags, create the label — a name, notes, a link, an optional recording in your own voice, and any custom details — and write it to the sticker with a tap.

Tap To Hear

From now on, just tap the tag with your iPhone. Talking Tags reads it back instantly — no app launch needed.

Your Data Stays Yours

Talking Tags doesn't have a server. Your library is stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We can't see it. We don't want to. Read the full Privacy Policy.

Built With The Community In Mind
