Label Anything
Spice jars, medication, files, clothing, appliances — affix a low-cost NFC sticker and Talking Tags links it to a description in your library.
An iPhone utility for blind and low-vision users. Tap an NFC tag and hear the item it's attached to — pulled instantly from your personal, on-device library.
What it does
Stick an NFC tag on anything. Record what it is. Tap it later and hear it back — no opening apps, no fumbling through menus.
Spice jars, medication, files, clothing, appliances — affix a low-cost NFC sticker and Talking Tags links it to a description in your library.
Tap with your iPhone. Talking Tags speaks the label aloud through VoiceOver, with full Dynamic Type and audio feedback support.
Every tag you create lives in a searchable library you control — organized, editable, and synced privately across your own devices.
Built on Apple's CloudKit and SwiftData. Your library stays in your iCloud account — never on our servers, never shared with third parties.
Every screen, control, and gesture is built for screen readers first — with high-contrast visuals as a complement, not an afterthought.
How it works
Apply an inexpensive NFC sticker to whatever you want to label — a medicine bottle, a thermostat, a folder of papers.
Open Talking Tags, tap the new sticker once, and add a name plus any details you want spoken aloud.
From now on, just tap the tag with your iPhone. Talking Tags reads it back instantly — no app launch needed.
Talking Tags doesn't have a server. Your library is stored on your device and synced through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We can't see it. We don't want to. Read the full Privacy Policy.
We're testing with blind and low-vision users from day one. If you have feedback, an idea, or a feature you wish existed — we'd love to hear from you.
