Manage Your Data

Talking Tags has no Comet Associates account to delete — there is nothing to sign up for and nothing on our servers. Here's how to clear your data from the app and from iCloud.

No account required

Talking Tags doesn't ask you to create an account or sign in. Your tag library lives on your iPhone and, if iCloud sync is on, in your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Comet Associates never sees, stores, or processes your data on our own servers.

Option 1 — Clear data from inside the app

This removes all your tags and library entries from your device immediately.

  1. Open the Talking Tags app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Settings (the gear icon in the top-right of the main screen).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Reset & Delete All Data.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

If iCloud sync is enabled, the deletion will also propagate to your iCloud account and any other devices signed into the same Apple ID, usually within a few minutes.

Option 2 — Delete iCloud-synced data from Apple

This removes the Talking Tags data Apple stores in your iCloud account.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap iCloud, then Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage on older iOS versions).
  4. Find Talking Tags in the list of apps.
  5. Tap it, then tap Delete Data from iCloud and confirm.

You can also delete the entire app from your device by pressing and holding the Talking Tags icon and selecting Remove App → Delete App.

Option 3 — Email request

If you've corresponded with us by email and want us to delete that correspondence, send a request to privacy@cometassociates.com from the email address you used. We will confirm and delete the records within a reasonable time.

Because we don't have your tag library on our servers, there is nothing further we can delete on our end — the deletion lives entirely between you, your device, and your iCloud account.

What about future versions of the app?

If we ever add features that require a Comet Associates account — for example, an opt-in option to share libraries with family members or caregivers — we will add a full in-app account-deletion flow at that time, in line with App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v). This page will be updated to reflect those changes.
